Hello after quite some time.

This is my new blog: http://keepitsimple-keepitreal.blogspot.com/. But I don't blog very often.

Saturday, 7 June 2008

End of this blog.

I won't blog anymore because I have a diary to write down my thoughts now.

Just to note down.

14th may.

I had PAE A201 dinner/gathering with my friends, at White Sands Macdonald's (Why does it have to be Macdonald's most of the time?) , at 18.30 pm after school. I only ate a small packet of fries. Fast food is not my thing.

Quite some number of people turned up.

Me, Phyllis, Manshan, Matilda, Fiona, Aldrich, Vicky, Jia Yong, Weicong and Wayne.
Too bad Vivien could not turn up cos she has Chem (Yuck!) to sudy. She asked me about the gathering the next day during Math lecture. I said it was quite nice, then she like sighed.

I think this group of friends, especially Phyllis and Manshan, make fun out of my weight the most, like how I would float and disappear if I don't eat enough, some funny nonsense. Tsk, at first it was kind of annoying, but I got used to it.

We talked about our lives.

Aldrich was lamenting on how different things could have turned out if he stayed in MJC, and he said he kind of regretted going to Poly. He said lectures and tutorials in Ngee Ann Poly were so slack for him that he could sleep through without getting caught. Sometimes he wished he would be awaken up by the teacher. Still some good boy left in him.

Before we left at 21.30 pm we took some photos on Aldrich's Macbook.

This gathering was definitely nostalgic, brought back many happy memories.

Next outing is on the morning of 11th June. We're going to the zoo, I think.

I hope more people, if not all, turn up. I think its going to be a blast.

Hmmm.

Last friday, today and yesterday was the Pre-U Seminar Ushers briefing and rehearsals.

All H n F people are entitled to be carpark road marshals/car spotters, and I gladly accepted that role.

So I'm a road marshal.

Last Friday was a briefing, then we practiced our lines in the MJC carpark.

During the briefing, the word 'foyer' kept popping up, then the H n F guys, especially Hidayat, kept repeating 'fo-YE'. It was funny, made me laugh, the councillors sitting in front of us were also giggling.
To be frank, the rehearsals are a little boring.

Yesterday, we were allowed to leave class at 11.15 am (Yay!).
Then we left for NTU at 12.30 pm.

The bus ride was so-so.

Shiva was talking about how he likes Black music, with strong music blasting from his phone.
He's quite horny also.
Hidayat was trying out the 2x2 Rubik's cube.
They were going a little crazy over that.
Shiva and Hidayat I think make a great funny pair.
They kept exchanging provactive taunts, sometimes quite absurd, but fuuny.

When we reached NTU, we sat around then tried out road marshalling.
My road marshal partner was Wei Yi.
We were bored and tired, and we sat down and talked about school.
Then one teacher posing as a stranger drove up and asked where the auditorium was.
We were caught off-guard.
After that we stood there like some zombies with our souls sucked out of us.
I think we were at our position for at least 3 hours.

The bus picked us up around 17.30 pm and we went back to the auditorium.
The manner of the debrief was quite unexpected.
I expected the Principal to blow her top after ours and others boo-boos.
But she kindly reminded us to be focused.

The journey home was a little not normal.
Shiva and some of the H n F people insisted we wait for the bus which looked the most comfortable.
We waited and waited, in the end we took the last bus, which was a let-down.
The seats were uncomfortable, the leg room was horrible, the air-con was not so good.
So much for the waiting.

The last bus was with the cool kids.
There was Young Sing, Hafiy, Shiva, Qahhar and Amirul and Hidayat among others.
Amirul sat at the back, then the guys taunted him about his emo mood and how he was in love with Loretta, another councillor girl on the same bus. Shiva also expressed how gutted he felt when Amirul left him for Loretta.
But Amirul took it qute well.
I slept on the bus.

Saturday, came to school at 5.45 am
So bloody early.
But we had a nice bus.
I think most of us slept
I realised the extent of comfort of the bus journeys is quite important.

Today could be said to be a little uneventful.
Me and some others acted as guests to allow the ushers to practice their lines.
Hidayat's sense of humour kept us from slipping into boredom.

Then we road marshals/car spotters took a bus tour around NTU to familiarise ourselves with the car routes to the various carparks.
I realised I had some skills in orientation of maps.

After that, we left at 12.30 pm.
The whole time was a little boring.

I watched Survior which I recorded Friday night.
Interesting and entertaining.
I've been religiously watching every season, every episode since I was 9, I think, since the first season.
The currently ended Season 17, was quite amazing.
Many blindsides and complexities.
Enjoyed it.
It was also the first time they showed behind-the-scenes clips which was what happened after the castaways get voted off.
They get directed to a boat which goes to the mainland.
Then they have on put on a black hooded robe and get into a car which will transport them to
SURVIVOR PONDEROSA!
I think it is a small private beach resort, but each castaway had a small tent and a bed in it to sleep on.
There they get to enjoy the good life.
I think the rationale behind this basically was to allow them to recover from their weight loss and injuries.
The clips always showed them having fun, like playing video games, wakeboarding and taking local tours, or basiclly just doing nothing but chill out.
The kitchen was always teeming with food; it was like two mountains of food.
They also had great full meals, and frequent campfire nights.
I think some of them worried about growing fat, because they mostly ate, played, rested and slept there.
The clips were quite an eye-opener and some were very funny.

Beach holidays are my favourite kind of holidays.
I like the sound of the waves and the crumbly softness of the sand, the swaying of the trees to the wind, the feeling of undisturbed relaxation, while lying down on the fine sand, looking into the distance, as one watches the world go by.
The Total Chill-Out experience ever. Period.
I kind of wished I was at Ponderosa while watching the clips.

Gutted.

Today was not a very good day.
Math Test was bad.
Sure to fail again.

Today was also CG committe elections.
I couldn't contiune as CG Chairperson.
Zerlina is the CG Chairperson, Godwin is the Vice-Chairperson.
I am the Nated Rep. It was a little consoling.
I felt gutted.
I felt cold, and my insides shrinking.
It sucks.

Life goes on, and I've gotten over it already.
I need to put in more effort in my studies.

My Life So Far.

Today phase 1 of PW, PI, is over.
Felt like weights lifted off me.
Feeling very fine now.
Haven't been blogging for so long.
I won't cram my posts up with crazy over-the-top vocab.

I'll start from the very beginning of this year.

January
Went to Meridian Junior College (MJC) for PAE.
Orientation 1
My OG was Triton1. Nice name. Sounds powerful. Oh Yeah!

OGLs I remember:
Guo Hao- Real cool guy.

Joceyln- Nice girl.

Shahidah- Enthusiastic.

Song Leng- Flirtatious? I don't know, but a nice cool guy.

Triton was first for O1. Funky! Oh Yeah!

My CG was 08A201.
H2-Geog Math Hist
H1- CSE
Surprised that there were like only 5 Arts classes, and like 30+(I think) Science classes.
Makes us Arts students feel really exclusive.
Asked others about their subject combinations.
BCME.
PCME.
Pffft.
Boring.
Don't like Chemistry. A lot.
I think my previous CG has really great, fun, crazy people.
I'll only mention those who have left a substantial impression on me.

Ivan- Me! Broke out of my anti-social shell, felt real good, helped me make new friends, albeit the silliness and embarrassing moments in the process.

Wayne- Best friend during PAE. Too bad he's in TPJC now.

Aldrich- Great guy. Too bad his hair got the better of him. I really thought he could do good in JC. He's doing accounting in SP now. Eeep.

Jian Hong- Thought he was quite cynical towards me at first, but he was ok in the end. Now he's in SRJC.

Wei Cong- Dao Gia (nickname by Vivien). Nice guy. He brings that funky Wushu sword/sabre to school.

Jia Yong- Three words, one title. Master of Ponteng.

Ho Fung- His stories sound crazy.

Vivien(Kai Boon)- Thought she was a great dancer during day 1 of O1. Kind of crazy and hyper at first, laughed a lot, also wears that funky Mao watch. She's quite a nice girl.

Phyllis- Nice girl, quite ok. Mild, with a smile.

Meiyi- In hospital for 1+ weeks, didn't really talk much, but still made friends with her. Kind of overrating herself in the beginning?

Victoria (Vickie)- Nice bubbly girl, I'll always remember her for her funky socks, quite unique. Quite different from the rest also.

Matilda- CSE classmate. Nice girl, but went to SAJC.

Fiona- Quiet girl, got 6 points (crazy), went to TJC.

Man Shan- Funny girl, says funny things.

Fadilah- Like super-enthusiastic. Now she's a CG Rep, in Atlas House Comm and also in Pre-U Seminar. Highly driven, I think.

Lyana- A little like Fad, but still enthusiastic, nice friend to have.

Sorry to those whom I did not mention.

CCA: Health and Fitness (H and F)
To gain weight and add more muscle.

Jeremy- Committee member, got those big muscles. Both he and Young Sing lead us in our training.

Young Sing- Captain of H and F. Super Big muscles. He told us he used to be fat, showed us his IC when he was younger (was quite chubby), he said he wanted to work out to get rid of his fats, and he did. He's a walking motivational poster.

Shiva- Presidential Pecs. He works on them the most. He can move his pecs at will. Sexy and Funky. Challenges Jeremy and Young Sing frequently, likes to show off his sexy pecs to them.

Ameer- A nice friend.

Did weight training and running around track.
To boost testimonial, join sports events like duathlons, biathlons, running, cycling.

Back to 08A201
We only went for one class outing (with me) to watch Cloverfield after Road Race (Triton came in 5th, WTH?)

BBQ also organised, but was during school week, so didn't go. Felt bad.

I hope there will be future class outings.

I'll always remember you guys. I love you.

JAE.
Felt kind of sour and gutted that the PAE fairytale super happy funride super sweet dream was over.
But told myself that I had to move on.
It took some time, but eventually I did.
Still kept in contact with PAE friends.

My new class- 08A202
H2- Hist Math Econs
H1- CSE
Felt that I had no more mental capacity for Geog, felt it was quite boring.
Didn't regret making the switch.
History is more mentally-stimulating, more dramatic. Funky!

For O2 I was in Miranda 1.
First thought: Oh...k... , at least not in Atlas? (I wouldn't complain even if I was posted to Atlas.)
I was a little gutted because I wasn't in Triton anymore.
O2 was not as fun as O1, cos I was still missing my PAE friends.
In the end it still turned out well, although we were last.
Damn it!
Stupid MMM excess points cost us dearly.
Could say I'm fully converted to Miranda (didn't want to get too attached to Triton, cos it was only PAE, but Triton was fun.)
Go Miranda! Funky Sexy Black Horse! Oh Yeah!
Also bought the Miranda House T-shirt.
It's got those two twin horses in an upright position facing each other. Infinite Glory, I'm not too sure about that, but I hope so. Very Spanking Funky! I love it!
Thought Atlas had the worst House T-shirt design. Don't know why I'm a little biased against Atlas.

OGL's I remember:
Arravind- Sexy Funky Indian boy, really loves Miranda. Most popular OGL among my class.

Adib- Great guy. Could have been in Miranda House Comm. Quite popular among my class.

Brian- Cool, calm, and collected.

Thian Yong- Supportive.

My new class (Oh Yeah!). I love my new class.

Ivan- Fully integrated already. I'm The CG Chairperson. When Miss Loh asked, I immediately raised my hand to volunteer. She was taken aback, thought I was going to overthrow her (in historical terms).
That was how much I wanted it. I felt that I had alot to offer as a CG Chairperson. I hope I'm right.

Russell- Super Cool Funky Sexy national sailor guy. I think he's my best friend so far. At first I thought he was just this one-dimensional character with cheesy one-liners, like "Think again," but he's really more than just that. Very nice person to be with. Started the Fats movement.

Teng Kiat- Angsty, I'm usually the victim of his verbal assaults, but still a nice guy.

Kong Lingyi (Kaylie)- He once told me he was the 77th (I think) generation of Confucius. I think there's some element of truth to that. Nice English name. Nice guy.

Jun Hao- Annoying and irritating at first, continued the Fats movement. Nice guy.

Horm Earm- Thought he was a little anit-social at first, but slowly warmed up. He's quite a nice and really big and tall guy, and his laptop saved some of our PIs.

Samuel- Thought he was a social outcast at first with his quasi-English accent. But really, he's a normal and nice guy. His academics are I think a notch higher than us. Councillor also, unbelievable at first, but took some time to accept it. Funky!

Edwin- Nice big guy, Council President. Nice. Really Nice. Funky!

Faruq- Happy guy. Nice and pretty reliable.

Godwin- Alluring, Long, Sexy Funky eyelashes. Very quiet, but high in substance. Still waters run deep. I thought he was quite enigmatic at first. He's got this intense gaze, I think.

Jian Wen- Thought he was a bad boy at first, but really nice and friendly guy. Funky floorball stick!

Soon Hui- Sometimes full of crap, but overall, really nice guy.

Jia Yong- Was with me since PAE, people say he's the ultimate slacker, but I think he needs more motivation. Walks like a mob boss, that's what they say.

Melissa- Driven girl, go-getter I think. Council Vice-President. Very Nice. Funky!

Zerlina- Panda (nickname by Soon Hui). Vice-CG Chairperson. Gave me good guidance. High tendency to burst into spasms of laughter/mirth. Contagious. Usually Russell catches it first, then...

Li Qin- Nice girl.

Poh Yi- Very small nice girl.

Jolyn- Nice girl.

Eloise- Nice girl, usually kicks Soon Hui's butt. They end up with raised voices, especially Soon Hui.

Stephanie- Very quiet, don't know much.

Hong Xi- Same as above, and talks slowly.

Angelica- Nice girl.

Our class IS the Centre of Power, with Council President and Vice-President and another Councillor in the ranks. Beat that!

CCA- H and F.
Joined Duathlon with H and F at beginning-mid March. Organised by TJC OAC. I ran 3 km, then Alif my partner cycled 15 km, came back, then I ran 3 more km. Came in 69th position. Not bad.
Nice goodie bag also.
Gained a little muscle already. Going to keep it going.

Impressions of MJC so far:
1. Unique and Strong House culture- Houses named after moons of planets (meridian, moon, get the link?).

Atlas- Yellow, Dragon
Callisto- Blue, Eagle
Miranda (Oh Yeah!)- Black, Stallion (Funky! Oh Yeah!)
Phobos- Red, Phoenix
Triton- Green, Triton

Never fail to see Meridians don their house colours almost about everday.

2. Nice campus.

3. Dedicated teachers.

4. Gold Value-added for 4 times in a row. Seriously Funky.

Goals this year:
1. PROMOTION!!!
2. Talent management? I hope so.
3. Skin to heal.

Thats all.
